Lupo Lounge is a cafe bar on Dudley Street in Wolverhampton city centre, open from breakfast through to the evening. Its name is Italian for wolf, a nod to the city's nickname. Inside is an art deco-inspired room with foliage wallpaper and murals, outside is a festoon-lit terrace, and upstairs is a space for private hire.
Loungers welcome dogs across their sites, in their own words: "we love welcoming dogs of all shapes and sizes in our Lounges". THE ONE EXCEPTION IS A LOUNGE INSIDE A SHOPPING CENTRE, where the centre sets its own rules - so if this one sits in a mall rather than on a street, ring first. There is a published CANINE CODE: keep dogs on a SHORT LEAD, NO PAWS ON THE FURNITURE, and be considerate of other customers. Admission is finally at the manager's discretion, which in practice means a badly behaved dog can be asked to leave.
