Aberdour Castle is a castle in the village of Aberdour, Fife, begun in the 1100s and home over the centuries to three noble families, including a Regent of Scotland. Extended by the Douglases, it is part ruined and part roofed, and sits among terraced gardens with a walled garden, an orchard and a historic doocot.
Historic Environment Scotland list "Dogs welcome in outdoor areas" in the facilities on this site's own page. Their site-wide rule adds that dogs must be kept on a lead at all times, must not be left unattended, and that owners must pick up after them. Assistance dogs are permitted everywhere including roofed areas.
