Plas Newydd is a historic mansion on the Anglesey shore of the Menai Strait, with views across the water to the mountains of Snowdonia. The house holds Rex Whistler's famous mural, and its Grade I listed garden includes the Terraces, a Rhododendron Garden and the Camellia Dell, with walks on to the Coronation Meadow, the Arboretum and Church Wood.
Plas Newydd is rated two pawprints. Dogs on short leads can visit almost all of the gardens and grounds, including outside the mansion, the Rhododendron Garden, the Camellia Dell, the Coronation Meadow, the Arboretum and Church Wood, and extendable leads should be kept short. The Terraced Garden is a dog-free zone because of its precise planting, and only assistance dogs may enter the house. Source: nationaltrust.org.uk dog page, checked September 2026.
