Wrest Park at Silsoe in Bedfordshire is a mansion of the 1830s built in the style of an 18th-century French chateau, set in a restored garden landscape originating in the 17th century. Its gardens tell the story of 300 years of garden design and include the Long Water, Archer Pavilion, Bath House, Chinese Bridge and Chinese Temple. Visitors can also see the opulently decorated but unfurnished state rooms.
English Heritage says: Dogs allowed on leads in the grounds.
