Challenging hill walk to toposcope viewpoint at 300m elevation. Spectacular views over Birmingham and Worcestershire. Steep sections test fitness. Solid trails through varied terrain.
Birmingham City Council's dog control PSPO governs this park, and it is more permissive than most councils on this site: leads are required on ROADS, ADJOINING FOOTWAYS AND VERGES, but the requirement EXPRESSLY EXCLUDES DESIGNATED PARKS - so a dog may be OFF LEAD here as long as it stays under control. Three limits come with it: NO MORE THAN FOUR DOGS per person on open land, dogs must be kept OUT OF CHILDREN'S PLAY AREAS and school land, and you must PUT YOUR DOG ON A LEAD IF AN AUTHORISED OFFICER ASKS. Failing to clear up is an offence too. Breaches carry a fixed penalty notice. Assistance dogs are exempt throughout.
