Kildrummy Castle is a ruined 13th-century stronghold of the Earls of Mar at Kildrummy in Aberdeenshire, one of the most extensive fortresses of its age in eastern Scotland. Set on a hillside above the ravine of the Black Den, it was besieged during the Wars of Independence and still shows the tall lancet windows of its chapel.
Historic Environment Scotland list "Dogs welcome in outdoor areas" in the facilities on this site's own page. Their site-wide rule adds that dogs must be kept on a lead at all times, must not be left unattended, and that owners must pick up after them. Assistance dogs are permitted everywhere including roofed areas.
