Plas Newydd on Hill Street, Llangollen, was the home of Lady Eleanor Butler and Sarah Ponsonby, the Ladies of Llangollen, who turned a modest cottage into a Gothic house of stained glass and carved oak. Run by Denbighshire County Council, it has an exhibition of their possessions, free-to-enter gardens and a riverside walk, plus seasonal tearooms.
Its own denbighshire.gov.uk Plas Newydd page says dogs on leads are welcome.
