Huntingtower Castle stands near Perth and is unusual in being made up of two tower houses built close together. Mary Queen of Scots stayed here with Lord Darnley in 1565, and inside are a painted ceiling from around 1540, a hidden cupboard used for Ruthven family treasures, and the story of the Maiden's Leap.
Historic Environment Scotland state on this site's own page: "Visitors' dogs are allowed at Huntingtower Castle, but are not permitted in roofed areas." Their site-wide rule adds that dogs must be kept on a lead at all times, must not be left unattended, and that owners must pick up after them. Assistance dogs are permitted everywhere including roofed areas.
