Marble Hill in Twickenham is the last complete survivor of the 18th-century villas and gardens that lined the Thames between Richmond and Hampton Court. Its conserved Georgian interiors and displays tell the story of Henrietta Howard, the house's owner. Outside are over 60 acres of riverside parkland with restored gardens, woods and a nine-pin bowling alley.
English Heritage says: Currently, dogs are allowed off leads in most areas of the park under close supervision. We have a designated area for dogs in our caf but dogs must be on leads in and around the caf at all times. The fenced children's area is a dog-free zone but assistance dogs are welcome. Please note our new dog policy has now been introduced, find out more here.
