Moseley Old Hall is an atmospheric Elizabethan home at Fordhouses, on the northern edge of Wolverhampton, famed as the house that hid King Charles II from Cromwell's army. Visitors can explore the historic Hall and learn about life in 17th-century Staffordshire, then walk in the walled garden, woodland and meadows around it.
Moseley Old Hall is rated two pawprints. Dogs on leads are welcome all year in the gardens, woodlands and meadows, with short leads asked for around the main site, and there is an unfenced off-lead area that reception can direct you to. Dogs may go into Visitor Reception (with the second-hand bookshop) and downstairs in the tearoom, but only assistance dogs are allowed upstairs in the tearoom and in the house. Water bowls are near Visitor Reception, the barnyard and the Cartshed Kiosk. Source: nationaltrust.org.uk dog page, checked September 2026.
